There have been instances in the past when patients google 111 online but then click (understandably) on the first option which returns on their google/search engine which can include access to clinical advice for which a charge is levied.

This is not NHS 111online which is completely free and there is never a charge, either by telephony or if you use the online service.

For Cornwall if a person did an online journey and the outcome was they needed to speak to a clinicians, then their details would drop into the local system here and the patient would be called back on the number they left online for contact. There is never any charge for this.

Sometimes people can inadvertently clicked on a paid for service, it's deceptive as they look remarkably similar.
