It's a big deal for Cornwall

Cornwall Council is holding public meetings where residents, town and parish councils and local organisations can find out what the proposed devolution deal and an elected Mayor could mean for Cornwall’s future.

Come along and ask questions or just listen and find out more.

All meetings start at 6.30pm, except the Torpoint meeting which starts at 7pm:

  • St Austell: 16 January - Penrice Academy Hall, Charlestown Road, St Austell, PL25 3NR
  • Redruth: 18 January - Redruth Community Centre, Foundry Row, Redruth, TR15 1AW
  • Bodmin: 20 January - Bell Hall, Bodmin College, Lostwithiel Road, Bodmin, PL31 1DD
  • Newquay: 23 January - Newquay Tretherras School, Trevenson Road, Newquay, TR7 3BH
  • Truro: 24 January - County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY
  • Torpoint: 25 January (7pm start) – Torpoint Town Council, Committee Room, 1-3 Buller Road, PL11 2LD
  • Saltash: 26 January - Saltash Guildhall, Saltash Town Council, Lower Fore Street, PL12 6JX
  • Falmouth: 27 January - Sunley Lecture Theatre, National Maritime Museum, Discovery Quay, Falmouth, TR11 3QY
  • Penzance: 30 January - St Johns Hall, Alverton Street, Penzance, TR18 2QR
  • Bude: 6 February - The Falcon Hotel - Function Room, Breakwater Road, Bude EX23 8SD
  • Launceston: 7 February - Main Hall, Launceston Town Hall, Western Road, Launceston PL15 7AR

If you can’t attend a meeting, you can find out more and share your views on the proposed devolution deal on Let’s Talk Cornwall.

Please help to promote this consultation so that people in your area can make the most of the opportunity to have their voices heard. Cornwall Council will send copies of a poster with details of the public meetings for town and parish councils to display on their noticeboards.

Information about the proposed Cornwall Devolution Deal and the public consultation, including a consultation questionnaire for people to have their say is available on the Let’s Talk Cornwall site.

You will also find there a downloadable copy of the poster for anyone who wants to print off more copies, plus a recently added animation and an easy read version of the devolution deal information that you can also use to promote the consultation.
