Elections will be held on 1 May 2025 for all Cornwall Council, town and parish council seats.
Timetable
The key timetable dates are:

The election timetable will begin on Friday 14 March 2025, when we publish:
- Notice of Election for the Cornwall Council Elections
- Notice of Election for the Parish/Town Council Elections in East Cornwall
- Notice of Election for the Parish/Town Council Elections in West Cornwall.
These notices of election will include details of when and where candidates must deliver their nomination papers by handbefore the legal deadline.

The above page includes guidance on how to complete nomination papers for Cornwall Council elections and parish/town council elections.
Please contact us as soon as possible voter-registration@cornwall.gov.uk or 01872 324196 to:
- request a candidate's nomination pack (available in March 2025)
- book an appointment to submit your completed nomination papers to us by hand.
You must deliver your completed nomination papers to us by hand to the place specified in the Notice of Election by 4pm on Wednesday 2 April 2025.
Criteria to be a candidate
To stand as a candidate at these elections, it is your responsibility to ensure that you that you are qualified to stand and are not disqualified.
