Vacancy for Parish Councillor - The time has now passed and expressions of interest have been made.

Following a recent Parish Councillor resignation, Morwenstow Parish Council has 1 vacancy to fill.  Applications to fill this vacancy are invited from those meeting the election criteria below.

Eligibility:

To apply you must:

• be a British, Commonwealth or other European Union Citizen and not require leave to enter or remain in the United Kingdom or have indefinite leave to remain;

• on the ‘relevant date’ (i.e. the day on which you are nominated or if there is a poll the day of the election) be 18 years of age or over;

• satisfy at least one of the following qualifications:

a) Be registered as a local government elector for the Parish;

b) Have, during the whole of the preceding 12 months, occupied as owner or tenant, any land or premises in the Parish;

c) Had your principal or only place of work, during the preceding 12 months, in the Parish;

d) Have lived, during the whole of the preceding 12 months, in the Parish or within 3 miles thereof.
